Welcome
In 2005, the Centre for Education and Work, in partnership with Manitoba
Justice and the Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak First Nations Justice Strategy,
received funding through the Office of Learning Technologies to develop a
learning community with community justice workers.

The project links community justice workers in 12 Manitoba northern First Nations Communities through a web site for sharing resources, expertise, mentoring and a peer support system between justice workers. It is our hope that this web site people can share idea's and knowledge with each other.

The northern Manitoba communities participating in this project include:

Pimicikamak Cree Nation, Chemawawin First Nation, God’s Lake First Nation,
Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation, Kinosao Sipi Cree Nation, Bunibonibee Cree Nation,
Mathias Colomb First Nation, Shamattawa First Nation, Takaskweyak Cree Nation,
Wasagamack First Nation, Opaskwayak Cree Nation. The urban centers of
Thompson and Winnipeg will also participate in the project.

We invite you to read, share, and participate.
